Why Breadcrumbs as the title of my blog, you ask?
Well, why not?
My family name is ROTTY. In the Indonesian language it means bread (actually the correct spelling of bread in Indonesian is ROTI).
Oh yes! I know that ROTTY in English is also a nickname (?) for rottweiler dogs.
So, Rotty can mean (a) bread in the Indonesian language; or (b) a rottweiler dog in English.
‘Breadcrumbs’ translates to ‘remah-remah roti‘ in Bahasa Indonesia (Indonesian language). It’s just natural, I think, that the title of this blog’s ‘Breadcrumbs’. I give you the crumbs from the Rotty family in this blog. You don’t expect me to offer you the whole loaf, do you?
Oops, one more thing. The picture on this page is a family photo circa 1930s of my grandfather, my father and his sisters and brothers. My father is the boy on the left.
In case you are wondering why there are many topics of autism in Breadcrumbs. My youngest son has autism, so it is a topic that is very dear to our hearts. You will see more postings on autism in here. BUT, you won’t read sad stories or read on our self pity… instead you will read stories on how my son is coping with his autism; how his brother is coping with it and you may read how our family is coping… which is very well, thank you
Because GOD walks and leads us through all these.
Our family learns to see God in our lives, and we see God colors our lives and makes it beautiful, every day.
